Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 2026

BioMat.com is committed to producing content that is accurate, evidence-based, and genuinely useful to people exploring far infrared therapy, the BioMat device, and related wellness topics. This page explains how our content is created, reviewed, and maintained.

Our Commitment

BioMat is an FDA-cleared Class II medical device. We take that classification seriously. Content on this site that relates to health outcomes, clinical research, or therapeutic use is held to a higher standard than general wellness publishing — and our editorial process reflects that.

We do not publish sponsored content or accept payment to feature third-party products or claims. All editorial decisions are made independently.

Editorial and clinical review decisions are made independently. Authors and reviewers are not compensated based on product sales, affiliate revenue, article conclusions, or commercial performance.

Who Creates Our Content

Content on BioMat.com is written by named authors with relevant expertise. Each author maintains a public bio page on our site that includes their credentials, professional background, and relevant experience.

Author requirements:

  • Named individual with a verifiable professional identity
  • Relevant background in health writing, functional medicine, physical therapy, or an adjacent field
  • Linked professional profiles (LinkedIn, practitioner registry, or equivalent)
  • Person schema markup to support Knowledge Graph entity recognition

Where content makes direct health claims, authors are required to hold or collaborate with a credentialed medical reviewer. Anonymous or AI-generated content is not published on this site.

Our Source Standards

We distinguish between content tiers based on the nature of the claims being made.

For health-claim and YMYL content (any article addressing therapeutic outcomes, safety, or clinical research), we require:

  • Peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed clinical studies
  • FDA documentation and registered device classifications
  • Government health sources: NIH, CDC, NCCIH
  • Recognized professional bodies (AMA, APTA, and equivalents)

We do not cite blogs, brand-owned marketing materials, or non-peer-reviewed secondary sources as primary evidence for health claims. All citations are linked inline, not buried in a reference list.

For product, comparison, and buyer's guide content, we may reference manufacturer specifications, verified customer data, and authoritative secondary sources where peer-reviewed research is not applicable.

Editorial Review Process

Every piece of content on BioMat.com goes through the following steps before publication:

  1. Research and drafting. The assigned author researches the topic using the source standards above, drafts the article, and structures it according to our content template (including FAQ section, disclaimers, and internal links).
  2. Editorial review. Our editorial team reviews the draft for accuracy, clarity, style consistency, appropriate disclaimer placement, and source quality.
  3. Medical review (where required). Health-claim content is passed to a credentialed medical reviewer before publication. See our Medical Review Policy for full details.
  4. Publication. Once all review stages are complete, the article is published with the author bio, last-reviewed date, and applicable disclaimers visible on the page.

Corrections and Updates

We review all content on a rolling basis and update articles when new research, regulatory changes, or product updates affect accuracy. Every article displays a last-reviewed date so readers know when it was last verified.

If you believe an article contains an error or outdated information, please contact us. We investigate all flagged content, make corrections where warranted, and update the last-reviewed date upon republication.
